Dear Reader;

Thank you for visiting our web site.

My 25 year experience indicates that Facilities Departments typically are under staffed and possess few high-tech tools by which to perform a very important function within organizations.

Out motto states that we will be:

“A leading innovator in Facilities Management solutions.

Utilizing desktop software, increase an organizations productivity in it’s cost base.”

What exactly does that mean to the Facilities Professional within organizations?

The first part clearly dictates that we must be continually educated by our Clients on issues they are facing.

The second part applies to all of us. By increasing productivity in our Clients cost base means that we must offer you tools that allow more to be done with less.

In the case of technology, that means solving current and emerging problems efficiently and effectively.

This is a very important point. Looking for ways to reduce the time taken to do space planning functions, move planning and execution; tracking assets to reduce purchasing; managing Floor Wardens etc. The benefits are to not only deliver a work product faster but be able to assume additional duties with the existing staff that will impact the whole organization.

Consider the following:

If you could enable a new or moved employee to be functional at their work area 30 minutes faster than they are today, what are the cost savings to your organization? There is no way you could measure increased profitability by such an action, however you could develop a measurement matrix and report it.

Consider a division that wants to re-align itself. With the use of maps, such a task could be achieved a lot quicker.

Many improvement activities that occur result in “Soft Dollar” savings; however they, ultimately also show up as HARD DOLLAR RESULTS.

Finally I would say to you, continuous improvement in all areas of a business is not a luxury, it is a necessity, without it, we will all pay the ultimate price.

Respectfully submitted,

President
