Changing People and their requirements with FACET
People (occupant) requirements can be changed either in the database or on
the drawing.
Examples of changeable items include:
-
Last name and first name. (Although entered into 2 cells, reports and
space maps will publish occupant names, first and last or last and first
according to your business rules).
-
Employee number. (As organizations use all sorts of unique identifiers
to distinguish one individual from another, FACET assigns its own
unique identifier).
-
Department name. (All department names utilize your nomenclature).
-
Title. (All titles use your nomenclature).
-
Location number. (The office, cube or other location you assign to an
individual).
-
Business phone number. (Utilized by your Telco department when
individuals move to another location and the phone number is to follow
them).
-
E-mail address. (Utilized to enable automatic communications).
-
Mail stop ID. (Each mail stop is uniquely identified and when dragged
onto a floor plan, a dialog box asks for all personnel that will be
served by that mail stop).

-
Floor Warden check box. (If the box is checked, a floor warden symbol is
automatically placed adjacent to that individual. If that individual in
involved in a move, FACET informs you, as it may upset the balance of
floor warden density on a particular floor).
-
Requirements. A list indicating the current requirements of that
individual. (Display Only on maps)
-
Communication
requirements.
(Existing requirements are illustrated and changes required
can be made via the database).
